ITINERARY:

  • Day 1: Arrive in Cape Town, South Africa -  With a warm welcome upon your arrival you will be transferred to your historic accomodations with modern touches, located at the foot of Table Mountain. Unwind in one of the most beautiful and vibrant cities in the world.

  • Day 2: Cape Town - The "Mother City" has so much to offer with its rich history and incredible beauty. An array of experiences and attractions are at your doorstep, from galleries and museums, to gardens and markets. The day is at leisure to explore and indulge. 

  • Day 3: Cape Town - Spend your day exploring the stunning Cape Peninsula. Drive past the sparkling beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton. Wind your way along legendary Chapman’s Peak Drive to the rocky seascapes of the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Continue along the coast to the delightful penguin colony at Boulders Beach. 

  • Day 4: Cape Town - Today’s sojourn takes you to the beautiful Franschhoek Winelands Valley. This is the food and wine heartland of South Africa. Discover farms and estates dating back 300 years to the French Huguenots.

  • Day 5: Cape Town / Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe - Continue by air to Zimbabwe to experience the magic that is Victoria Falls. Set on an exclusive Island, the luxury glass and wood suites of your accommodations are only accessible by boat. Sit back, relax, and drink in the magnificence of your surroundings. 

  • Day 6: Relax - Enjoy your morning with personal butler services, fine dining, and an array of recreation opportunities. In the afternoon board your boat for a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River. Have your camera ready to capture the evening’s golden moments. Look out for the lurking crocodiles on the riverbanks, the noisy hippos, and the flocks of birds skimming the waterline.

  • Day 7: Victoria Falls - Look out for rainbows as you walk the misty rainforest trail of the falls.   • Day 8: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe / Nairobi, Kenya - Fly to East Africa, and the bustling city of Nairobi. You wll be transferred to your boutique hotel, set between Nairobi National Park and the foot of the Ngong Hills. 

  • Day 9: Nairobi / Maasai Mara, Kenya - After breakfast at Hemingways Nairobi, fly to the Maasai Mara and tour award-winning accomodations in a luxury tented safari camp, reminiscent of the safaris of old. Meet your ranger and take off on an afternoon drive. The Maasai Mara never fails to deliver extraordinary wildlife sightings. It is the presence of the Big Five and a huge supporting cast of mammals, reptiles, and bird life that makes this an unforgettable wildlife destination. Return to camp for sundowners and a sumptuous dinner. 

  • Day 10: Maasai Mara, KenyaEvery day in the Maasai Mara is different, and each day is tailor-made with complete flexibility. Enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing in open safari vehicles. Join and learn from the first women rangers in the Mara, discover unique medicinal plants, forage for wild food, or participate in reforestation and seed-dispersing bush walks, fully engaging in active and sustainable, community-based travel.

  • Day 11: Maasai Mara, Kenya - Wake for your pre-dawn drive to the launch site for your hot air balloon experience. This is an unmatched safari – even the lions look up in surprise as one sails on by – and all the animals of the Mara are visible from the air. Guests enjoy guided bush walks, river swimming, and fishing excursions as well as cultural visits with the local Maasai people. After, relax in a traditional canvas bath outside your tent as you sip champagne and soak in the outstanding view. 

  • Day 12: Maasai Mara / Nairobi, Kenya - After one final adventure into the wilderness, enjoy breakfast before flying back to Nairobi. Browse and shop at the local curio markets and galleries before continuing to your airport hotel. 

  • Day 13: Nairobi, Kenya / Cairo, Egypt - Upon your early arrival in Egypt’s historic capital, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your ideally situated hotel, Marriott Mena House, Cairo with views of the Great Pyramids.

  • Day 14: Cairo, Egypt After breakfast, meet your Egyptologist and depart for a day of exploration of the ancient capital of Memphis. Explore the Great Pyramids of Giza, the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing, and be awed by the enormity of the Great Sphinx. 

  • Day 15: Cairo Egypt - Meet your Egyptologist for further exploration of historic Cairo. Visit the Citadel complex and the 13th-century Sultan Hassan Mosque. Peruse the ancient exhibits of the Egyptian Museum, including the famous collection of King Tutankhamun. Continue to the National Museum of Egypt Civilization to view the famous mummy collection.

  • Day 16: Cairo / Depart -Your Cape to Cairo adventure comes to an end today as you are transferred to the airport.
